WE HAVE A CARDINAL!

There was rising expectation among Vatican-watchers that a consistory would be announced at today's General Audience. Here's news from NLM:

This morning, Our Most Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI announced, that on Saturday, 20 November 2010, he will hold an extraordinary public Consistory for the creation new cardinals.

Among the list of twenty-four cardinal-elects is the Archbishopof Cololmbo, Malcolm Ranjith. Sri Lanka has a cardinal once again!
