Doraemon

Theresa called me a "spiritual-classics Doraemon". Not sure why I deserve that (is it because I keep recomending stuff to read? But few of them are classics...). Anyway, it's a fun thing to be called nonetheless, especially since I've been exposed to Doraemon every week during Dr Yoshi's PS1101E class (James C. Scott is his academic hero; Doraemon is his anime hero. But it's Doraemon who is the star of his lectures).

Oh and I'm pleased with myself that I got the reference - it shows that I'm not totally ignorant of East Asian cartoons any more.

It's so wonderful to speak to and read the writing of people who are very well-read. I want to read good books - especially the classics. But reading good books requires discipline. I let so many things distract me. And I have the bad habit of jumping to a new book before finishing the current one. I shall strive to be a more genuine classics Doraemon then!
