The almost cult-like worship these people give to someone who has not even written any law is amazing, but not surprising. What really strikes me about this statement is the appeal to emotions, which, as we know, is a fallacious argument. There's nothing wrong about boosting morale. The problem is when we depend so much on emotions when making our decisions. It's not about what is true anymore, but what we feel to be true.
